The heart behind the experience

At the core of our mission to create a positive impact in the Langa community lies our Youth Activation Programme. This programme aims to empower unemployed youth aged between 17 and 35 with technical skills through either accounting technicians training, sewing training or Barista training, as well as personal and professional development opportunities. The ultimate goal is to equip them with the necessary skills to pursue further education, training, or employment, and ultimately, to enhance their quality of life.

To support this programme, Just Grace conducts an Airbnb social experience where 100% of the profits are allocated towards our work in Langa.

What you can expect

Ncedisa and Bongeka will warmly welcome you and guide you through the day’s activities. You will learn how to make an African sling bag using traditional African patterns. Don’t worry if you are a beginner as we will provide step-by-step guidance to create your bag.

After completing your beautiful African bag, you will have a chance to taste some mouth-watering, traditional isiXhosa food and drinks during a break.

By the end of the experience, you will have created your unique African sling bag and can capture the moment by taking a few photos to showcase your new fashion accessory.
