Volunteering Experience
Join us for a day as a volunteer. You will get the chance to assist us in cooking and preparing the food for our afternoon activities. You will also get involved in assisting our facilitators in tutoring and reading with the learners.
We believe that by providing visitors with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the daily life of our community, we can foster greater understanding, empathy, and connection between people from different backgrounds.
Make an African shopping bag
You will learn how to make an African sling bag using traditional African patterns. Don’t worry if you are a beginner as we will provide step-by-step guidance to create your bag.
After completing your beautiful African bag, you will have a chance to taste some traditional isiXhosa food and drinks.
Learn isiXhosa
Join us for a fun and interactive lesson that covers the essentials of the isiXhosa language. We will also discuss a few traditional isiXhosa dishes that you will have the chance to sample. By the end of the lesson, you will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to interact with isiXhosa speakers and practice your new language skills.
